Full Moon Manifesting With a Tribe of Elephants
Spirituality / / Jan 04, 2018
Do you believe in magic? In the not so distant past, I would I have flatly answered “Uh, no”, probably concerned that the person asking the question may be kinda Woo Woo. What’s funny is, since I got sober a few years ago, weird things started to happen. I became interested in meditation and spirituality, and at some point I dove deep down the rabbit hole of new age mysticism. Now, I’m wearing crystals for boosting the energy in my chakras.
Long story short, I’ve become super duper Woo Woo. Those of you who understand might say that my vibrational frequency has been raised, and as the old adage goes: your vibe attracts your tribe!
A few months ago I met Franki Doll-Olinger. Franki is a renowned spiritual teacher, life coach, speaker, writer and all around badass magical woman. She has also been clean and sober since 1997! Through a remarkable series of events, Franki ended up taking me on as a student; I’m honored that I now get to call her my spiritual advisor.
Franki and her husband Jenson lead a group of spiritual seekers and teachers who are collectively known as the Tribe of Elephants. A few times a year, they plan special events and trips that are quite remarkable. I just joined the Tribe a few months ago and was invited to attend a New Year Full Moon Manifestation ceremony. Franki didn’t give much of an explanation of what it was, but told us that it would be out in the desert near Joshua Tree and that we just needed to chip in for food and lodging. She also agreed to let me take photos and write an article about it. Having faith in my advisor, I decided to go!
On January 1st, I found myself driving out to Joshua tree yet again, having no idea of what to expect. I carpooled with a couple Elephant Tribe friends, who were just as clueless as I was in regards to what exactly we were driving out to the desert for. In Joshua Tree, after driving a bumpy mile up a dirt road we came to a super cool house in the middle of nowhere. There was a fire pit and outdoor furniture. Franki and Jenson had already started setting things up.
We were told to walk into the house in absolute silence, and to remain in silence until everyone got there. There were 23 Elephants total scheduled to attend, so we all sat and meditated for a while, waiting for our friends to show up. I was the only one allowed to take pictures throughout every part of the event.
Franki revealed that we each got to have our own personalized manifestation kit! Each kit came in a wood box with our initials carved on the back. We also each got a tube of incense.
I’m not allowed to write about what exactly is in the kits, but each one was personalized. The boxes themselves are beautiful!
There were 4 separate ceremonies that we performed throughout the night. Generally speaking, they were geared towards manifesting our desires and goals for this year and letting go of the negativity from last year. Think New Years resolutions, but WAYYYY more intense, and spiritual!
What made each ceremony really special was the fact that we got to connect with each other as individuals on a deep, emotional level. Franki has a gift for bringing out the most authentic, vulnerable parts of people. Everyone in the group opened up about their deepest desires and dreams. It was an intensely beautiful experience.
Without giving too much away, one of the ceremonies involved a fire.
My good friend Yoga Merman particularly enjoyed the fire ceremony. Must be all of the Aries fire energy coursing through his soul.
One of the reasons Franki choose January 1st for this event was specifically because of the full moon. The photo below doesn’t do enough justice to how gorgeous and intense the moon was that night. It was watching over all of the festivities and provided an extra intensity to our collective energy.
The last ceremony involved candles, and it was just a beautiful scene.
I can safely say that I’ve never rung in the new year quite like this. I returned to work the next day already feeling the positive effects of all the rituals that we performed the night before. If I had to describe my experience with this whole thing, “Awesome” would be an understatement. In 2018 I’m hitting the ground sprinting, and I just hope that the world can keep up.

Special thank you to Yoga Merman for assistance with photos!!
I love your writing style so much. I could really hear and feel your authentic voice. I love you so much and I am honored to be in your tribe!
